Beach City Kitties in a non profit cat rescue in Venice Beach, California, run by me, Katelyn Michele.
I run Beach City Kitties out of my Venice Beach Bungalow, where I live with my husband-our James, cats-Bella, Jinksie, Jem, Lil Bit, Willie and our Chihuahua Pepper.
We rescue kitties weekly from the streets and high kill shelters, rehabilitate and foster, then find them chill forever homes by the beach.
Beach City Kitties’ goal is to end the problem of homeless cats, make Los Angeles a “No Kill City”, and have fun while doing it.
In addition to finding homes for tame kitties, we also work with fixnation to TNR (trap-neuter-return) feral cats. To learn more about TNR click here. (http://fixnation.org)
Beach City Kitties concentrates on cat rescue efforts in Venice Beach, Santa Monica, Playa Del Rey, the South Bay and beyond. After all, what kitty wouldn’t want to live by the beach?
Our hip, energetic, young team of volunteers throws fun adoption events and fundraisers In Venice Beach and surrounding beach communities. We are fixing up a 1954 Metro Van, that will serve as as a mobile cat rescue center and will be out every weekend throwing pop up events at street fairs, art crawl, First Fridays, farmers markets, pier concerts, the boardwalk, etc.
Beach City Kitties philosophy is to combine beach lifestyle, creative Venice spirit and Cat Rescue.
Beach City Kitties is always looking for new fosters and volunteers. So let’s get out there together…Adopt, rescue, foster, enjoy the sun and surf, and most importantly save some lives!
