Welcome to Beach City Kitties site!

Hello, and Welcome to Beach Kitties Site!

Beach City Kitties in a non profit cat rescue in Venice Beach, California, run by me, Katelyn Michele.

I run Beach City Kitties out of my Venice Beach Bungalow, where I live with husband-James, cats-Bella, Jinksie, Jem, Lil Bit, and chihuahuas- Pepper & Izzy.

Disclaimer: We don’t actually let our cats outdoors

We rescue kitties weekly from the streets and high kill shelters, rehabilitate and foster, then find them chill forever homes by the beach.

Beach City Kitties’ goal is to end the problem of homeless cats, make Los Angeles a “No Kill City”, and have fun while doing it.

Beach City Kitties concentrates on cat rescue efforts in Venice Beach, Santa Monica, Playa Del Rey, the South Bay and Orange County. After all, what kitty wouldn’t want to live by the beach?

Our hip, young team of volunteers helps us throw fun adoption events and fundraisers In Venice Beach and surrounding beach communities. We are fixing up a 1954 Metro Van, that will serve as as a mobile cat rescue center and will be out every weekend throwing pop up events at street fairs, art crawl, First Fridays, farmers markets, pier concerts, the boardwalk, etc.

Beach City Kitties philosophy is to combine beach lifestyle, creative Venice spirit and Cat Rescue.

My passions include art, photography, media and events. I use these to build awareness, find forever homes and raise money for cat rescue. I also love to meet people, mingle, network and support my community.

Beach City Kitties is always looking for new fosters and volunteers.

So let’s get out there together…Adopt, rescue, foster, enjoy the sun and surf, and most importantly save some lives!

I rescued and fostered kittens I rescued from Southwest College. in the late 1990s/early 2000s. On Sept. 10 of this year, I lost my last nut (my friends and I called my cats The Nuts). I am not yet ready to give a home to a new fur baby. This time, I’d like to give a home to an adult cat. Not a senior cat- I am not ready to go through the end again so soon, although I know that illness can happen at any time. I really want two cats! For a variety of reasons, I can just take one
at the present time. Do you have a website where I can look at cats and learn a little about them.? I don’t go to shelters because
it is painful to me. There are certain colors or styles that interest me more than others.
Is that alright to say? …
